"11 intensive days in the heart of Bahian percussion"

An opportunity to discover up close everything related to the culture of the drum in one of the world's leading cities, in terms of innovation and tradition in percussion.

From January 26 to February 5, 2023, we will divide our trip into two parts; We are going to live a few days in front of the sea and others in the historic center of Salvador. In Vilas do Atlântico we will carry out the workshops in a green area in front of the beach and in Pelourinho (Salvador's historic center) in the squares (largos) where concerts by Olodum and other bands and blocos are usually held during the Summer of Salvador.

During this week we will be able to learn more about the history from the hand of its protagonists, we will delve into the traditional rhythms and the evolution of percussion today, learning and participating together with other people from all over the world.

In total there will be more than 40 hours of workshops, concerts, master classes and talks about Bahian percussion.

For the different workshops, the necessary instruments will be provided, each participant will bring the accessories they need for the practice (they can be purchased during the event).

We have thought of everything so that you do not miss anything, and that is why at the Bahia Percussion Camp we will offer you a rich and varied diet with special attention to typical Bahian cuisine and with the possibility of being adapted according to specific diets or intolerances. During our stay we will have breakfast and lunch included. Dinner is at your own expense, although we will always indicate the best places in the area.
