He has performed in Japan, the United States, Europe and South America, sharing the stage with international artists such as Michael Jackson, Paul Simon and Sadao Watanabe. He has participated in the work of several artists, including Peu Meurray, Elpídio Barros, Mariene de Castro, Alex Mesquita, Sylvio Fraga, Saulo Fernandes, Jauperí, Mateus Aleluia, Virgínia Rodrigues, Orkestra Rumpilezz, Leiteres Leite e Quinteto, Daniela Mercury, among others.

Luizinho participated in the creation of the band Kissukilas, and performed and participated in several events that served to promote the work developed by the band. Between 2000 and 2002, Kissukilas held a project in the Engenho Velho da Federação neighborhood called “Street Rehearsals”, which provided free music and entertainment for the community and its visitors. The audience was varied, coming from all parts of the city of Salvador, from other states, and even from abroad.

Today he plays with Maria Bethânia, Gilberto Gil and Margareth Menezes, in addition to the Afro-percussion group Aguidavi do Jêje.
