He began his life in music as a child with Banda Lactomia, whose differential is the instruments made with recycled materials from the garbage. This work prepared and revealed several musicians, who today work with national and international artists.

Jair accumulates in his career experience of presentations at international festivals, recordings with renowned artists, films and documentaries. He joined Timbalada when he was a teenager, when he was going to play bacurinha, Carlinhos told him: "what are you doing there in bacurinha boy, I want to see you here in timbau, your place is here." And so he continued, recording albums and playing in the unforgettable rehearsals at Candyall Guetho Square. It brings together talents of educators and demands of leaders, responsible for the selection, direction and production of various works, including groups such as Arrastão da Timbalada, Zárabe, Groovelândia, Orquestra Pracatum, among others.

He continues to be Musical Director of the Timbalada and Zárabes projects, groups that have between 300 and 400 percussionists. He is always invited to participate in cultural exchanges, artistic presentations and international percussion festivals in countries such as: United States, Germany, Morocco, Italy, France, Spain, among others.

He is currently a percussion teacher at the Escola Pracatum, a percussion and musical initiation teacher at the Associação Lactomia Ação Social. General Director of ALAS – Associação Lactomia Acción Social.
